Support for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD
As a neurodivergent therapist, I have a particular interest in working with clients whose needs in therapy are influenced by autism, ADHD or other forms of neurodiversity.
Therapy is most helpful when it supports neurodivergent clients to embrace and accept themselves as they are rather than trying to fit neurotypical expectations.
My approach
I reject pathology-based and medical models of neurodiversity as helpful foundations of therapy.
I embrace neurodivergent identity as valid and equal.
I am client-led and not compliance-led.
I am focused on actual distress rather than social conformity.
